2023 - 2024 NSA Carolinas Board Members

President:   Dr. Kevin Snyder, CSP

Kevin has twice led the NSA Carolinas Speaker Academy and has served the chapter as Vice President Programming and President-Elect.  Kevin has been speaking professionally for nearly two decades, is a multi-TEDx speaker, author and former Dean of Students at High Point University.  When he’s not in Raleigh with his family, he’s either sailing, watching
The Price Is Right or singing karaoke. Learn more about Kevin on his website.

In short, the President's role is to provide guidance and serve members of the Board of NSA Carolinas.

President-elect:   Larry Long, Jr.

Larry enthusiastically served NSA Carolinas this past year as Vice President Programming and did a fantastic job planning and delivering high-value programs to our members.  Larry is also involved and networked at a national level and always bringing extraordinary ideas and speakers back to NSA Carolinas. Larry has been a Professional Speaker/Emcee since 2020 (started at beginning of the pandemic…say, WHAT!?!?). He enjoys the variety and diversity of engagements, as well as flexibility provided to include his family in the business, as well as time to golf (be sure to ask him about the ‘Golf & Sales’ event)! Learn more about Larry on his website.

Past President:   Mike Mooney

Mike has selflessly served on the Board for the last four years as President, Vice President Marketing (two years) and as President-Elect. He has organized and facilitated the Chapter’s Speaker Academy and Speaker Intensive events while also launching NSA Carolinas first ever sponsorship program. Mike uses his 25+ year career in motorsports to help leaders create traction in their business by shifting mindsets, focusing on continuous improvement, and building reputations. When not speaking or with his family, Mike can be found backpacking, playing golf or the drums. Learn more about Mike on his website.

Vice President of Marketing:   Peter Agiovlassitis

Peter will be continuing on the Board for his third year and always contributes in unique and meaningful ways.  Last year Peter passionately pursued better understanding the history of NSA Carolinas and transformed his At-Large Board position to include an inaugural Historian role. Better known as “Peter A,” he’s a motivational speaker who works with organizations dealing with overwhelming change to help let go, dig out, and rise up. After a 30+ year career in TV/radio advertising, his favorite subject is still family; a feisty Gen Z daughter, a soccer player/coach son living in New Zealand, and an amazing wife he met in college.  Learn more about Peter on his website.

Vice President of Member Experience:   Dr. Sarah Glova

Sarah will be a new addition to our Board but she is no stranger to NSA Carolinas, to tech reporting or to the speaking profession.  We’re thrilled to leverage her talented skill sets to further enhance the membership experience for all NSA members. Sarah is the CEO of Reify Media, an award-winning elearning firm that recently celebrated 10 years in business, as well as a writer for WRAL TechWire and a guest lecturer at NC State University. When she’s not on stage or at her computer, you can find her hiding in bookstores or watching Marvel movies with her two young sons. Learn more about Sarah on her website.

Vice President Finance/Treasurer:   Teri Quimby, JD, LLM

Teri joins the NSA Carolinas Board in a pivotal role – finance! In addition to a keen eye for speaking, she has served on numerous national and regional boards. With her focus on helping boards, organizations, and individuals to improve communication skills, being a Certified Guide for Exactly What To Say™ with Phil M Jones, CSP is a natural fit. When Teri isn’t speaking, teaching, or writing, you may find her SCUBA diving, which she particularly likes to do at night. Learn more about Teri on her website

At-Large:  John Edwards, CSP, CSV

John has been a member of NSA for 25+ years and has served in a number of leadership roles in various chapters, including starting one of NSAs first ever virtual chapters.  He’ll be continuing on the NSA Carolinas Board in a role that allows the chapter to leverage and utilize a wide variety of his expertise. John helps organizations and teams get rapid results, especially during times of constant change. He enjoys talking to audiences using humor and storytelling to facilitate insights and learning that accelerate their success. John has held leadership roles with a few Fortune 100 companies including Lockheed Martin and Time Warner.  He is also a former professional athlete and served as the 4-time Captain for the Jamaican National Racquetball Team.  Learn more about John on his website.
